A rendezvénysorozatot Isabel Téllez nagykövet asszony nyitja meg április 6-án 13 órai kezdettel az Angol—Amerikai Intézet St. 111. termében.

IN 2010 MEXICAN CONMEMORATE THE TWO HISTORICAL
events that gave form to our country: the bicentennial
of the independence movement and the centennial of
the Mexican revolution. This is a good time to reflect
on the ideas that inspired these events, to help us
better understand our past, comprehend our present
and be prepared for the future.
The extensive program beyond Mexican borders that
will take place during this year contemplates an ample
catalogue of activities where the ethnical diversities and
multicultural particularities of our country will be reflected.

understanding between our country and other cultures
around the globe. At this moment when the relation
among nations is rules by endless economic and political
interests it’s important to encourage and procure
spaces for dialogue. These cinema cicles allow other
publics to discover and understand the great complexity of the Mexican culture, look through the window of these films, and see what Mexico is and where it comes from.
With the intention of promoting our culture we have built an aliance between Division Filmica, Fundacion Televisa and the Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores
(Ministry of Foregin Affaires) to present part of Televisa’s audiovisual patrimony–throught the screening of film cicles in cultural spaces. We hope that the one now being
presented is a source of enjoyment for lovers of good cinema and becomes a gift from Mexico to the World...
